Having signed a deal to re-release Rock Band 3 (Bulletin, 11-Aug-11) and scored a hit with its Dance Central console games, developer Harmonix is also preparing to make its mark in the apps world. Games site Touch Arcade confirmsthat the company’s recent trademark application for ‘VidRhythm’ relates to a planned iPhone game. “It will actually be our first iOS release as a studio, coming out relatively soon,” says CEO Alex Rigopulos. “I can’t say anything yet about what it is, but in parallel with all these huge console game productions we have underway, we’re commencing our first iOS development project.” Harmonix isn’t entirely new to the Apple world, having released a music game called Phase for the iPod a few years back.
