David Gray and Widespread Panic are the latest artists to stream gigs live to their Facebook fans – but to also charge them for watching. Both are using the Facebook Credits virtual currency to take money for the webcasts, with both charging 50 credits (around $5). They are working with different partners to manage the events though: Widespread Panic with Milyoni and David Gray with telco O2, with fans of the latter also able to pay via PayPal or credit card if they don’t have any Facebook Credits.
