Daria Musk has been getting headlines in recent weeks for livestreaming studio gigs to fans using the Hangout feature on Google+. We asked her about the experience, and it’s safe to say she’s fairly excited. “I’m genuinely thrilled to meet every single person that pops in! What an honor to play for people all around the world at once! I play a song, then we all chat for a bit, I ask where everyone is from, we make friends who become dear to our hearts in an instant even though we’re miles and miles away from each other,” says Musk, who was introduced to the service by her brother. She also talks about how Google got involved with the project. “At the first concert, Chee Chew the Director of Engineering for Hangouts reacted to the hundreds of people trying to get into my concert by trying to manipulate the coding on the fly and daisy-chain the Hangout to let more people in.” Her third concert saw a link-up with the YouTube Live site, too.
