Ticketmaster has announced its latest new social feature for its ticketing website: Facebook-connected seating maps. That means people buying tickets can see where their friends will be sitting for more than 9,000 gigs across the Ticketmaster and Live Nation sites, and thus buy tickets nearby them (or, indeed, not, depending on preference). “Online took away from the old experience of going down to the record store to purchase tickets,” Ticketmaster’s EVP of e-commerce Kip Levin tells Mashable. “This is a way to go back to that.” Source: Mashable
