Facebook has finally confirmed that its f8 developer conference will take place on 22 September in San Francisco, promising that its engineers and external startups will “share their best practices and strategies for building great social apps”. However, of most relevance to Music Ally is the promise that “we have some exciting product announcements that enable a new class of social apps”. There have been strong rumours for months that Facebook is preparing to make music a much more prominent part of its social network, working with various streaming services to integrate them right into its site.
