Our Sandbox report last week had a feature on Atlantic’s partnership with Memolane around the new Ed Sheeran single. To briefly recap: it pulled content from sites including YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Songkick, Google Maps, Spotify and Ustream into one place based on his song You Don’t Need Me I Don’t Need You, providing fans with a new way to visualise and interact with the music. It was very clever, so how did it do? Atlantic tells us that the site had more than 12,000 visits in the first three hours after launch last week, but that it was getting the main push on Sunday with an email to his 100,000-strong mailing list.
