Universal Music Group has appointed from within for its new position of president of global marketing. Andrew Kronfeld is stepping up from a role as EVP of international marketing at Universal Music Group International, and will report to UMGI COO Max Hole. Kronfeld will be overseeing all frontline and catalogue marketing internationally for UMG, as well as its licensing division Cooperative Music and rock label Spinefarm. “Talent and technology crosses borders with greater reach and speed than ever. Andrew’s appointment is another important step in the alignment of our operations into global responsibilities, and there is no one better to lead this evolution in our marketing firepower,” says UMG chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge.
