Microsoft is making strenuous efforts to pitch its Windows Phone smartphone OS as a viable competitor for iPhone and Android, with much attention focused on its upcoming Windows Phone Mango software update, and handsets from new partner Nokia. However, there are other companies making Windows Phones, including HTC, which unveiled two new devices last night. The HTC Titan lives up to its name with a beefy 4.7-inch screen. Meanwhile the HTC Radar’s biggest selling points are its aluminium unibody shell – very stylish – and a front-facing camera. There isn’t much else interesting to say about the models for now, but from a Music Ally perspective, the more quality Windows Phones that are available in the run-up to Christmas, the better chance the platform has of becoming significant for music apps and services.
