It seems Apple wasn’t too keen on widespread reports that the iTunes Match elements of iCloud included streams as well as downloads. The streaming feature has disappeared from the just-released iOS 5 beta 7 software, meaning users have to fully download tracks from their cloud locker before they can be played on an iOS device. As we reported on Wednesday (Bulletin, 31-Aug-11), Apple had denied that the feature was even streaming, preferring to label it ‘a simultaneous listen and download’. It is not unknown for features to appear then disappear in different developer beta versions of iOS software, but in this case the removal is distinctly intriguing. Source: AppleInsider
