Stats from comScore claim that usage of livestreaming video sites like Ustream and Livestream has grown by 648% in the last year, to 1.4 billion minutes in July. comScore compares that to usage of non-live online video sites like YouTube and Hulu, saying that the average livestreamed video view is 7% longer than these sites. What’s more, livestreaming sites are 72% more likely to deliver 18-34 year-old males – a prized advertising demographic. comScore also breaks down the big livestreaming sites: in July, Ustream attracted more than 3.2 million unique viewers, compared to 2.6 million for Justin.tv, and 2.4 million for Livestream. However, Livestream served more than 160 million videos that month, compared to 130 million on Justin.tv and 20 million on Ustream.Read more: http://tinyurl.com/2fe2foe
