Apple announced last week that it has sold 120 million iOS devices – a figure that covers iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. Blog Asymco has done the maths to calculate that of that 120 million, around 67.6 million are iPhones, 7.2 million are iPads, and 45.2 million are iPod touches. In other words, iPod touch accounts for 37.7% of total iOS units. There are connectivity implications, as Asymco explains. “More than one in three iOS units in use are non-cellular devices.
