UK developer Chonk has announced that its MusicRoom app for BlackBerry has been downloaded more than 100,000 times in its first ten weeks on the BlackBerry App World store. The app lets people stream music from their home computers to their handsets over Wi-Fi. “We have been overjoyed with the response to MusicRoom. We took a risk as the BlackBerry app market is not nearly as big as some others, however, we have been pleasantly surprised by both the demand for MusicRoom and the quality of feedback which we’ve received from our customers all over the world,” says director Don Turner. There is a free version as well as a paid full version, so it’s unclear how many of the 100,000 downloads actually converted into sales. Link
