
Twitter has been selling its promoted tweets, trends and accounts ads for some time in the US, but now the programme is set to launch in the UK in October. That’s according to Marketing Magazine, which tips O2, Vodafone, Sky and Sony as the first brands to sign up in the UK (that would presumably be Sony’s consumer electronics division, rather than Sony Music Entertainment). The report claims that Twitter is asking for six-figure sums to be committed to ad campaigns in the UK as part of bundling deals. Source: Mashable
