Spotify and Ford don’t have an official in-car entertainment partnership (yet), but this weekend saw the pair come together for a demonstration at the TechCrunch Hackathon in San Francisco. Ford was touting the ease with which API-equipped internet services can be made to run on its new SYNC platform, with Spotify chosen as the guinea pig. One of the key features was tying Spotify into SYNC’s voice controls, enabling people to control their music by speaking rather than tapping a touchscreen. The SYNC platform will be appearing in 10 Ford models from 2012. Source: TechCrunch –
