Blink 182 is the latest artist to dangle incentives for fans pre-ordering its new album. Anyone who signs up in advance to buy Neighborhoods as its $19.99 CD+t-shirt bundle will get a surprise gift, drawn from a selection of possibles. They include old tour laminates, setlists, stickers, keychains and guitar picks, but also more expensive items like signed instruments and life time tickets to any Blink 182 show. The twist is that these special items won’t be saved for fans spending more money: everyone has a shot at them. “We have leveled the playing field so that even someone that has enough money to just buy a CD and T-Shirt for $19.99 has just as much of a chance to get something signed or personal from the band as anyone else,” explains the band’s website.
