Google has updated its popular free analytics suite with a real time data tracking feature that will provide similar functionality to services such as Woopra and Chartbeat, but for free. Campaign managers using Real-Time will be able to gauge granular reactions to campaigns or social media action, for example the impact of a Tweet on site traffic. Google has also rolled out a high cost premium analytics suite with features such as unlimited data, custom variables and faster processing aimed squarely at companies with high traffic volume and a big analytics spend, at a cost of around $150,000 per year.
