Last week, Billboard’s main digital writer Antony Bruno announced that he was leaving the trade publication, but it wasn’t until yesterday we found out why. Bruno has joined music industry body NARM as community manager of its Digitalmusic.org site. “Our goal is to bring together all of the companies that are critical for the business of music in the digital realm, and Antony can bring the right people to the table and then conduct meaningful, productive conversations that move the business forward,” says NARM’s VP of digital strategy and business development Bill Wilson. Bruno won’t just be working for NARM, though: the announcement explains that he’ll also run an independent consulting business. Source: NARM
