Analyst firm Gartner thinks annual revenues from social media services will increase from $7.3 billion in 2010 to $10.3 billion in 2011, and will reach $29.1 billion by 2015. It sees advertising taking a big chunk of this, with $5.5 billion of advertising spend on social media sites in 2011 – more than half the total. Gartner also predicts that social games specifically will generate $3.2 billion of revenues in 2011. Read more:
