Irish band The Pale have a new iPhone app called I Woke Up And I Was Gone, based on their album of the same name. It’s an interesting idea though: the app is a “musical walking tour” of Dublin, linking the 12 songs on the album with specific locations around the city. “Every location features a unique live performance by the band in that location, as well as insights, interviews and reviews of the places they visit,” explains the App Store listing. “Along the way the band visit new businesses, sites of historical interest and take in some of the little known sides of Dublin. Basically its The Pale visiting places they love, admire and respect and chatting with the people who make these places what they are.” The tour takes around three hours, while the app also includes a discography, videography and info about the band. They worked with developer Declan O’Brien on the app, which is self-published on the App Store. Source: AppShopper
