We’ve been reporting on the aMusic iOS app, which lets people access their Amazon cloud music locker from iPhones and iPads. It was pulled from the App Store earlier this month, but its developer James Clancey has revealed that Apple wasn’t the cause. “aMusic was actually pulled by me at the request of Amazon, not Apple. Apple never seemed to have a problem with aMusic,” he tells Mashable. The problem, according to Clancey, is that Amazon has not signed the necessary licensing deals to allow its Cloud Player API to be used by external developers. “Amazon really has been great. I never thought I would be happy and feel good about taking an app down after talking to a lawyer,” he says.
