Having finally gone live in the US, Spotify is now recruiting for its next wave of launches around the world. The company is looking to hire a senior account manager for label relations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The new role will serve as “primary point of contact for record labels, distributors & aggregators in the DACH region, but also working closely with central international teams”. Germany has been a notoriously difficult market for streaming services to launch in, licensing-wise, but simfy’s success there hints that business can be done.

Separately, Spotify is recruiting a business development director for the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on striking distribution partnerships. “Spotify is looking for a BD Director who can help realize this growth by closing strategic partnerships with leading telecom providers and hardware manufacturers,” explains the job listing. The role will likely be based in Hong Kong, Singapore or Sydney.

Separately, Digital Music News claims that Spotify is planning an Australia and New Zealand launch “in or around” February.
