Henley Business School has revealed plans to launch a new MBA for the Music Industry course, covering general management topics with a skew towards the music business and IP management in particular. The MBA will officially launch at Midem 2012 in January, and Henley says it has already been fielding sponsorship enquiries from corporate brands – Sunseeker is already on board to support the Midem event. The MBA will have a steering committee of industry veterans including Ted Cohen, Nigel Elderton, Simon Napier Bell, Phillip Graham, Anthony Hall, Carl Leighton-Pope, Vick Bain, Alan Guinn, Richard Smith and Lord Lingfield. “This will play a positive role in helping provide the skill set that our industry so desperately requires,” says Elderton.
