Rapper Wale has found a nifty use for social music service Turntable.fm: it’s the opening act on his current tour of the US. Here’s how it works, according to Wired: Wale has his own Turntable.fm room, which is projected onto the wall of each venue he’s playing in. Fans who are there can DJ if they have the Turntable.fm iPhone app, but fans who aren’t can also play tunes from home. “I just thought it would be something dope, you know? Social networking is really important,” Wale tells Wired. “Anything that’s social networking and music combined is definitely something that I want to be a part of, because I’m very hands-on with it.”
