UK firm 7digital’s music downloads store is on some Android tablets already: those made by Samsung for example, thanks to a preload deal. Now it’s launched an Android Honeycomb app for other tablets, touting a catalogue of 16 million MP3s to buy. The app is available on Android Market, Amazon Appstore and GetJar, and includes browsing, track previews and downloading direct to the device. It also ties into 7digital’s cloud locker system, so people can re-download their existing purchases and sync their new buys with other devices. “This is a major addition to our mobile device offering, bringing high quality digital music to Android tablet owners,” says CEO Ben Drury.
