We wrote about music site Shuffler.fm’s iPad app a couple of weeks ago on the day it was due to launch, but the company put it off for some final tweaks. It’s now live in the App Store, and is very impressive. Styling itself as an ‘audio magazine’, the app aggregates music blog posts and turns them into streaming radio channels, with every song accompanied by the blog post that wrote about it. Favourite tracks can be saved and synchronised with a Shuffler.fm web account, and the app scrobbles to Last.fm. We’ve been playing with the app for a couple of weeks, and it’s very impressive, with stylish design and a good selection of music. Someone’s already called it “a Flipboard for music”, which covers its appeal well.
