Consumer electronics firm Pogoplug has launched a new cloud service with 5GB of free storage for users. It’s called Pogoplug Cloud, and has apps for iOS and Android devices which can automatically upload photos and videos from the user’s library over Wi-Fi or 3G. And music? People can upload music from their computer to their Pogoplug account and then access it from their phones. However, they must pay $9.95 a month if they want 50GB of storage on the Pogoplug servers, and $19.95 a month if they want 100GB, although it’s free if they host their own cloud using hardware.
