UK-based music firm 7digital has another big-name client: US mobile operator T-Mobile. The former will be powering the latter’s T-Mobile Mall music store, which will sell dual-download MP3s for handsets and computers. “Music discovery is increasingly important for our customers, especially with the phenomenal growth of smartphones, and the T-Mobile Mall gives our customers a simple way to make music purchases so songs can be enjoyed directly on their phone or other connected devices,” says T-Mobile’s Torrie Dorrell. The deal has a distinctly old-school feel though: no streaming or mention of cloud access.
