Apps and fan community platform Mobile Backstage has released three of its artist apps for BlackBerry smartphones. The apps are for You Me At Six, The Kooks and Enter Shikari, and have all been available on other smartphones already. They join Tinie Tempah’s Mobile Backstage BlackBerry app, which was released earlier this month.

The support for RIM’s smartphones is interesting, because Mobile Roadie abandoned the platform in June this year, just six months after starting to support it. At the time, the company said that developing BlackBerry apps was harder than expected, and that less than 2% of users on those phones were bothering to log in – versus 50% on iOS and Android. Mobile Backstage clearly sees potential on BlackBerry for its artist clients, though.
