Billboard and SoundScan may have stopped counting albums sold for less than $3.49 for the purposes of their charts, but that hasn’t stopped Google Music from offering deep discounts on new albums for ‘Cyber Monday’ in the US.

Mashable reports that the latest albums from Coldplay, Rihanna, Drake, Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Mary J, Blige and LMFAO among others were being sold for $1.99 yesterday, undercutting even Amazon on the day. Google is trying to acquire users for its newly-launched download store, which sits within its Android Market.
