The latest company looking to inject more social features into gig ticketing is GigsWiz, which has launched a Facebook application called Flockified in beta. It involves a button added to promoters’ ticket pages to spur buyers into inviting their friends to events. It also gets specific, helping people ask friends whether they want to come to an event, and arrange who’ll buy the tickets. They can even set deadlines for people to respond.

GigsWiz is planning to launch an admin dashboard to help promoters follow usage of its service, and offer discounts to groups of fans. The company also tells TechCrunch that it’s considering expanding beyond music, for example to restaurant reservations.
