There’s a new kid on the personalised radio block this week: Senzari has launched in the US and Brazil with similar features to Pandora, including the ability to create radio channels based on specific artists and songs. However, there are a couple of notable differences. First, Senzari has licensed 10 million songs for its catalogue, with CEO Bill Hajjar claiming this will avoid one of the big complaints about Pandora – “that you maybe hear the same songs over and over again”. Meanwhile, Senzari is also tied into Facebook from the get-go, as well as Twitter. The service is free and web-based for now, although early in 2012 it will launch iPhone, Android, iPad and HTML5 mobile apps. The business model appears to be advertising for now.
