UK ticketing site WeGotTickets has launched a Christmas charity appeal, working with anti-poverty charity ActionAid to help fund Kenyan community radio station Muziq Speak. The company is hoping to raise the entire £5,000 needed by the station through two ways: a digital donation box for people buying tickets on WeGotTickets to contribute, and an initiative on Christmas Day itself that will see 100% of all booking fees added to the pot. WeGotTickets is also hosting an Awareness Advent Calendar to promote ActionAid’s work. The companies are also working together on the new ActionAid Live ’emergency music network’.

“We’re really looking forward to getting involved in a project this year with such direct and tangible results. Muziq Speak is a truly noble cause and gives us another opportunity to work with our ActionAid Live partners to improve life for those struggling during this festive season,” says WeGotTickets’ Graeme Murray.
