It’s easy to tell how many fans Like a Facebook status update from an artist, but what if they dislike it? It seems Facebook may be preparing a new tool to help marketers analyse negative as well as positive sentiment on their pages on the social network. According to ClickZ News, page admins will be able to click on a metric called ‘engaged users’ to see how many fans have commented negatively in response to one of their status updates.

“What you’re seeing on that blog is a test – Facebook is constantly running tests to improve the way the site runs and functions, but we don’t have anything else to share at this time,” responds Facebook in a statement.
