Anti anti-piracy campaigners in France have gleefully greeted the news that someone in President Sarkozy’s palace appears to have been a bit naughty online. Campaigners have been using the YouHaveDownloaded.com web tracker to identify illegal downloads seemingly going to IP addresses allocated to the Elysee Palace, including a lossless FLAC version of the Beach Boys’ greatest hits. Six files are associated with the addresses in total, which as TorrentFreak points out, is double France’s three strikes rule for filesharers.
