Facebook has finally launched its new Timeline feature, which turns people’s Facebook profiles into visually attractive records that give people “an easy way to rediscover the things you shared, and collect your most important moments”. We reported on Timeline when it was announced at the f8 conference: it brings together photos, status updates and aggregated records of people’s activity on Facebook-connected apps like Spotify. The new Timeline will replace people’s existing profiles, although they have seven days’ grace to explore what’s being featured and remove anything they don’t like. For now, though, brands and bands won’t be able to use Timeline for their Facebook Pages. “We are currently focused on Timeline for individuals and will consider how to make consistent experiences for Pages, but we have nothing to announce at this time,” a spokesperson tells Mashable.
