Apple is giving some iPad App Of The Week love to a new music-focused book-app this week: History of Rock. Based on words from author Mark Paytress, it provides an illustrated guide to the first 60 years of rock music in chronological order. Music is included, of course, with ‘Sounds of the Decade’ pop-ups offering iTunes samples and buy links. The app’s closest comparisons are to 955 Dreams’ apps from earlier this year: The History of Jazz and On The Way To Woodstock. History of Rock is selling for a premium (in app terms) price too, retailing for £5.49 on the App Store.
