We know Thounds for being a social network for musicians, complete with an iPhone app to help them record and upload music when out and about, making it available to fans. Now the startup is trying something different. It has launched a free iPad app called Thounds Up, which claims to help people “compose and manipulate music by using your fingers”. The app will at some point tie back into the main Thounds website. “This is the first release and new features yet improvements are coming very soon (including full integration with the collaborative music platform Thounds.com),” notes the App Store listing.
