Yes, believe it or not, there is still mileage to the whole ‘make music using iOS devices and get publicity’ thing. A band called One Like Son are picking up buzz for recording their new 10-track album on a bunch of iPhones and peripherals. Actually, what’s more interesting is the way the four members of the band live in different parts of the US, so worked on their parts remotely and used Dropbox to bring them all together. One Like Son follow bands like the Ultramods – who made an entire album using iPads – and of course Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz. If the music’s any good, it’ll do well. In the meantime, the band is savvily nabbing coverage for its methodology on tech blogs.
