The days when high-end hi-fi consumers scoffed at streaming music could be coming to an end. Onkyo – one of the respected brands for audiophiles – has unveiled its new T-4070 Network Tuner. It goes on sale next month with a £799.99 price point, and includes access to Spotify, Last.fm and Aupeo, alongside FM and DAB radio tuners. What’s more, the unit includes support for Apple’s AirPlay technology so users can wirelessly stream music from their iPhones or iPads. Onkyo also has apps for iOS and Android that act as remote controls for the unit.
