Aspiro has announced a new partnership for its WiMP streaming music service in the Netherlands. ISP Ziggo will be offering WiMP to its customers, although the exact details – for example whether it will be bundled into broadband tariffs – have yet to be announced. “This agreement is in line with Aspiro’s strategy to expand our music streaming service WiMP into new markets,” says CEO Gunnar Sellæg. Aspiro says it has other launches coming up in Germany, Ireland and Benelux countries, although it hasn’t confirmed yet who its partners will be there. The company is in the process of being bought by Scandinavian media company Schibsted.
