US band Geographer are the latest artist to make use of photo-sharing service Instagram in a campaign for their music. The band are streaming tracks from their new album Myth on their own website, which also showcases on its homepage the Instagram element. Images hashtagged #geographer on the service – and separate photos site Flickr for fans without an iPhone – are pulled into the widget for display. Move your mouse over an image, and it’s altered with a kaleidoscopic effect. “No two images are going to be the same,” singer Mike Deni tells MTV. “This is one of the first times that I’ve felt a true connection with some of these Internet innovations.” The site was built by digital marketing agency Eyes & Ears.
