Lyrics licensing company LyricFind has beefed up its catalogue, inking global rights for songs from EMI Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner/Chappell Music Publishing and Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The company says it’s the first time the four publishing majors have made lyrics commercially available on a global basis. Independents including Kobalt have also signed global deals with LyricFind, whose clients include Shazam, Slacker and Microsoft’s Bing search engine. The company’s catalogue is now being offered in 20 countries, which should in turn allow those customers to expand their lyrical features beyond the US.
