Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has spilled the beans on his band’s next branded spin-off: a partnership with Finnish firm Rovio on a new Angry Birds game. “We’re talking with Angry Birds, Kiss and Angry Birds, which will become a deal,” he tells IndustryGamers, before later revealing how the talks went down. “The Angry Birds people were up here and we sat down and we played Angry Birds. We blew some buildings apart, catapulted some of the birds, and then their eggs were stolen.” Earlier this week at Midem, Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said that his company was having “some discussions with labels about what we could do together to give access” to music in the Angry Birds games. He didn’t mention partnerships with artists, but it seems Kiss will be the first to benefit.
