Music videos service Vevo has brought its Lift promotion for emerging artists across the Atlantic to the UK. Although the announcement may raise the odd eyebrow regarding the meaning of ’emerging’, given that the first artist to benefit – Sony act Labrinth – had two top-three singles in the UK last year, as well as guesting on Tinie Tempah’s hit ‘Pass Out’. Even so, Labrinth gets an eight-week slot on Vevo UK for his new single ‘Last Time’, live footage, interview videos and competitions. Vevo says it will feature six British artists in its Lift slot over the course of 2012, promising that each will receive more than 50m impressions on the site.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
