We wrote about video-sharing app Viddy recently when it inked a deal with T-Pain to sell a branded effects pack to its users. Now the company has announced a $6m funding round to continue its expansion. Viddy is often compared to photo-sharing app Instagram, in that it lets people shoot 15-second video clips, apply visual effects and then share them with friends. Viddy is also likely to work with more artists and brands in the coming months. Besides T-Pain, it also recently teamed up with Disney to promote its new Muppets film.
