We wrote about video-sharing app Viddy recently when it inked a deal with T-Pain to sell a branded effects pack to its users. Now the company has announced a $6m funding round to continue its expansion. Viddy is often compared to photo-sharing app Instagram, in that it lets people shoot 15-second video clips, apply visual effects and then share them with friends. The company says it has 1m users on iPhone, and plans to use the money to take the app to Android, iPad and other devices. Viddy is also likely to work with more artists and brands in the coming months. Besides T-Pain, it also recently teamed up with Disney to promote its new Muppets film.
