Ever since MXP4 pivoted to become a social music games company, we’ve wondered when it would extend beyond Facebook to mobile devices. Now it’s happened. The company has partnered with Mobile Roadie to integrate its Bopler Games titles into that company’s artist apps. The first to benefit is longtime MXP4 partner David Guetta, whose Pump It! Facebook game has been ported to his official iPhone app. Fans will earn badges and rise up leaderboards if they play the game well. “Integrating social games into our app platform creates a more compelling mobile experience for users, while giving artists and labels increased monetization opportunities,” says Mobile Roadie boss Michael Schneider, who promises more artists will be getting MXP4-powered games in their apps this year. A reminder: Mobile Roadie is sponsoring our Music Apps – Beyond The Hype event on 6 March, where the subject of music and mobile gaming is sure to come up.
