Hey, check this, Diddy is revolting. No, really. The mogul originally known as Sean Combs is launching a cable TV channel called Revolt, which will launch in 2013 through the Comcast-NBC network in the US. He says it will have a heavy focus on music, with videos, live performances and news, along with a heavy social media element for interactivity with its audience. “Revolt is the first channel created entirely from the ground up in this new era of social media,” says Diddy in a statement. “We’re building this platform for artists to reach an extraordinary number of people in a completely different way.” He’s hoping to persuade other cable networks to carry the channel, and has stressed that Revolt is “not a black network”, but one focused on all forms of music.
