80% of UK music consumers still regularly buy music in physical form and listen to it on a traditional stereo, according to research unveiled by eMusic and indie body AIM yesterday. That compares to 70% who download music, and 46% who stream it according to the figures. 87% of consumers questioned said they won’t be giving up owning music in favour of streaming, with 68% saying streaming doesn’t give them control over their music, and 93% saying owning music gives them a sense of security.
