Hats off to Hype Machine founder Anthony Volodkin, who has launched a nifty side-project called Kickstumbler. It’s a site and browser toolbar to help people discover interesting projects looking for funding on Kickstarter. “The goal is to get more people finding projects they haven’t seen. I figure that can be as valuable as it is fun,” Volodkin tells Betabeat. “This was made over a few weekends, sometimes, truly instead of sleeping.” Kickstumbler also pulls out Kickstarter participants’ video messages and runs them into a continuous channel. Users can explore within a category – music for example – or across the entire site.
