Live music giant Live Nation is on the acquisition trail again, announcing the acquisition of online community Setlist.fm for an undisclosed amount. The latter company has a database of more than 400k setlists for concerts by 24k artists, and attracts 1.5m visitors to its site every month. “Setlist.fm built a great product for concert fans and we will further elevate this by incorporating it into Live Nation’s global portfolio across mobile, apps and online,” says Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino. “Setlist.fm fits perfectly with our goal of providing fans an engaging experience that extends the fun and excitement of the live concert before, during and after the show.” The deal follows Live Nation’s acquisition of BigChampagne earlier this year.
